Hello everyone!
Today we had beautifully calm sea conditions with no wind and no waves—perfect on the surface, but the cloudy sky made the underwater world a bit darker than usual.
Underwater visibility was around 8 meters, and the water temperature dropped to 19°C, definitely on the chilly side.
As for the hammerheads… we only spotted a single individual today. A tough hunt! (Fingers crossed for tomorrow!)
On the bright side, schools of fusiliers and yellow-striped snappers were tightly packed, getting pushed around by the strong current. We also encountered a big amberjack, an Asian sea bass (Oonibe), and plenty of action around the reef.
But the true highlight of the day was the soft corals—in full bloom and covering the rocks like a colorful garden!
The incoming tide was fast and powerful, but thanks to that flow, the corals were wide open and looking gorgeous.
It’s getting colder both underwater and during the surface interval on the boat, so please be sure to bring proper winter protection—hooded vests, boat coats, anything warm is your friend right now!
