こんにちは。
本日は神子元島で２本ダイビングしてきました。
台風のうねりが神子元にも到来しまして、水面のコンディションは久しぶりに悪かったです。
昨日から朝一下げの時間に強く潮が流れるようになりましたが一緒に透明度もダウン。
回復に期待した今日でしたが、透明度は大きく変わらずでした。
潮に関しては朝一は２ノット流れていたくらいしっかりと下げ潮が効いていました。
これが午前中続くといいのですが、二本目の時間にはゆるーい上げ潮に変わってしまいました。
ハンマーも今日も水深の浅い所で登場！
残念ながら全員が見ることはできませんでしたが少しずつ見れる頻度が上がってきているのはいいことです。
この時期に台風が直撃することはなかなか珍しいことですが、明日から３日間は台風の影響で神子元のダイビングはクローズになります。
再開は金曜日になります。海がよくなっていることを祈りましょう。

Today, I went on two dives at Mikomoto Island.
The swell from the typhoon has reached Mikomoto, and surface conditions were rough for the first time in a while.
Since yesterday, the current has been strong during the early morning, but visibility has dropped along with it.
I was hoping for an improvement today, but visibility remained largely unchanged.
As for the current, the ebb tide was strong enough to be flowing at about 2 knots first thing in the morning.
I was hoping this would continue throughout the morning, but by the time of our second dive, it had shifted to a very gentle incoming current.
The hammerhead sharks made an appearance again today in the shallower waters!
Unfortunately, not everyone got to see them, but it’s encouraging that we’re seeing them more frequently.
It’s quite rare for a typhoon to make a direct hit at this time of year, but due to the typhoon’s impact, diving at Mikomoto will be closed for the next three days starting tomorrow.
We’ll resume on Friday. Let’s hope the sea conditions have improved by then.
