Hello!

As I mentioned yesterday, starting today, the food truck from the Chinese restaurant “Manmaru Shokudo” will be at Hammers for about a week!

They’re serving Scallion Oil Noodles (Zongyou Banmian), Monster Gua Bao, and popsicles!

Our staff tried them, and the scallion oil noodles—with the appetizing aroma of Manmaru Shokudo’s homemade seafood chili oil—really hit the spot after a dive! The Monster Guabao features melt-in-your-mouth braised pork in a fluffy bun—I could easily eat eight more!

Manmaru Shokudo’s food is that delicious, so please be sure to stop by and try it for yourselves!

Now, regarding the ocean conditions, we went on four dives starting this morning.

On the first dive, right after entering the water, a school of hammerhead sharks appeared directly below us!

The water was clear, so we could see them clearly, but they appeared so suddenly that I didn’t have time to get my camera ready—I couldn’t capture the moment. You really can’t let your guard down.

The water was clear and warm first thing in the morning, but it gradually got colder and murkier, with just a few solitary hammerheads here and there.

On the fourth dive, however, there was a major turnaround!! Since the waters off Mikomoto Island were still murky as usual, we entered the water at the clear, blue spot further offshore.

As we drifted with the current there, a school of hammerheads appeared!

Even amid the challenging conditions, we managed to spot them. Things are improving little by little but steadily. Today is better than yesterday, and tomorrow will be better than today!

It’s been a string of hot days here at Mikomoto, so everyone, please be careful of heatstroke and let’s have fun again tomorrow!
