こんにちは。
先週は過ごしやすい気温が続いていましたが、今日は朝から気温が高く暑さの厳しい一日でしたがそんな中本日も４航海でダイビング行ってきました。
沖縄に接近中の台風の影響でウネリが神子元島まで到達し、波止場で停泊中の時でさえ船は少し揺れていました。
外洋にある神子元島ではクローズになることはありませんでしたが、島近くには寄れず沖でのダイビングが中心の4本でした。
潮は朝は下り潮そこから少しずつ上げ潮に変わっていきましたが、全体的に冷たいエリアが増えているように感じました。
冷たい所では22度台、浅く温かいエリアで26度とハンマーは基本的に浅場で見る事が多かったです。
単体ばかりでしたが、中には群れを見れたチームもいました。
陸上は暑いですが水中はなかなか夏本番の様な海にはなってくれません。
黒潮が一発入ってくると大きく話が変わってくると思うので、黒潮の動きに期待大です。
明日のウネリはあると予想されます、頑張ってハンマーを探していきましょう！
Hello.
Last week brought consistently pleasant temperatures, but today was a sweltering day with high temperatures from the morning on. Despite that, we still managed to go on four dives today.
Due to the typhoon approaching Okinawa, swells reached Mikomoto Island, and the boat was rocking slightly even while moored at the pier.
Although Mikomoto Island, located in the open ocean, never closed to divers, we couldn’t get close to the island, so all four dives were primarily conducted offshore.
The tide started as an ebb tide in the morning and gradually shifted to a flood tide, but overall, it felt like the number of cold areas was increasing.
Temperatures ranged from the 22°C range in the colder spots to 26°C in the shallow, warmer areas, and we mostly saw hammerhead sharks in the shallows.
We mostly saw them alone, but some teams were able to spot school of hammerheads.
It’s hot on land, but the water hasn’t quite reached that full-blown summer feel yet.
I think things will change dramatically once the Kuroshio Current kicks in, so We’re really looking forward to seeing how it moves.
We’re expecting some swell tomorrow, so let’s do our best to find the hammerhead sharks!
