Hi everyone!
Today was a spring tide.
The first dive had a light current, and the second was almost completely slack, but we finally had a down-current again after quite a while.
Water temperature has dropped into the 19°C range, but visibility hasn’t changed much since before the closure.
The shallow area was a bit milky, while the deeper part had decent visibility.
The east wind made the surface a little choppy, but it didn’t affect the dives at all.
Entry and exit were smooth, and we enjoyed two good dives today!
And about the hammerheads…
We saw groups of around 20–30 several times!
Most of them were hanging deep today, so we couldn’t quite get close enough—just out of good photo range. Still, the “they’re definitely here” feeling was strong throughout the dives.
The sun was out and it was a really pleasant day,
but the surface interval on the boat was pretty chilly, so don’t forget your warm layers!
Tomorrow’s forecast calls for strong winds, so we’ve decided to close.
Our next trip will be on Tuesday.
Hope we hit a big school next time!
