Hello,
With the cold weather showing no signs of letting up, I headed out to Mikomoto right after the closure ended.
The first dive of the morning was at the start of the incoming tide, so the current was gentle, while the second dive had a strong, steady incoming current.
We spotted solid schools of hammerhead sharks on both dives.
We were able to see them in the midwater on both occasions.
We’ve been having a string of dreary weather with typhoons and tsunamis, but the waters off Mikomoto are alive with hammerheads.
Let’s go chase the hammerhead schools at Mikomoto!
