Hello.

We went out on four dives again today.

The air temperature on land is much more comfortable compared to last year, and underwater, the water hasn’t quite warmed up yet—it still feels very typical of Izu.

However, the outgoing tide was flowing quite strongly right from the start of the day.

Yesterday, the southern area was cold, but today the cold spots have diminished, and the water felt like autumn—with consistent water temperature and visibility from top to bottom.

Because the current was strong, most of the hammerhead sightings were at deeper depths, but some teams managed to swim right alongside the school.

The current is finally starting to feel like typical Mikomoto conditions. It’s still early in June, but things should keep improving from here on out!

I feel like I say this every day, but I have a feeling that “A” season is about to begin.

We’re closed tomorrow due to poor sea conditions.

Let’s look forward to diving at Mikomoto the day after tomorrow!
