昨日までの風とうねりの影響が心配されましたが、朝の神子元には青い潮が到来！
下げ潮の時間帯でしたが、実際は緩い上げ潮。
午後になっても所々下げ潮を感じる所はありましたが、1日を通して緩い上げ潮、
大潮らしいパワフルな流れは今日はお休みといった感じでした。
水中は12〜13m付近までは青白く、暖かい潮。
そこから下に入ると一気に冷たい潮が広がっていました。
それにしても最近、毎朝のように海が青くなるのはなぜでしょう…。
この青さが一日中続いてくれれば最高なのですが！
肝心のハンマーは、午前中に1チームだけ大群れに遭遇！
そのほかのチームはパラパラと単体〜少数を見る程度でした。
みんなだいたい同じコースを通り、しっかり青い層を泳いでいるのに、
なぜか出会えない…。
「いるはずなのに、いない。」
このもどかしさも神子元らしいところですね。
青い潮は入っています。
あとは潮がもう少しパワフルになって、ハンマーたちがまとまってくれるのを期待したいところ！
明日の神子元はどうなるのか！？
引き続き期待して潜ってきます！
We were a little worried about the effects of the wind and swell from the past few days, but this morning, beautiful blue water arrived at Mikomoto!
Although it was supposed to be a falling tide, we actually had a gentle rising current. Even in the afternoon, there were a few areas where we could feel a slight falling current, but overall, the rising current remained gentle throughout the day.
Despite being in a spring tide period, the powerful current we usually expect was taking a break today.
Underwater, the water was warm, bright, and blue down to around 12–13 meters. Below that depth, however, the temperature dropped quickly and a colder layer spread out beneath us.
Recently, we keep wondering…
Why does the ocean seem to turn blue every morning?
If only this beautiful blue water would stay with us all day!
As for the hammerheads, one team was lucky enough to encounter a huge school in the morning!
The other teams saw only scattered individuals and small groups.
What made it even more frustrating was that everyone followed almost the same route and stayed in the same beautiful blue layer of water…
but somehow, we just couldn’t find them.
“They should be here… but they’re not.”
That kind of frustration is also part of what makes Mikomoto so unique.

Now we just need the current to pick up a little more and hopefully bring the hammerheads together into a big school!
What will Mikomoto show us tomorrow!?
